Jalal Hammami, the lawyer and member of the defense team for former Ministry of Interior spokesperson Colonel Mohamed Ali Al-Aroui, confirmed that the charges against his client in the “Instalingo” case and money laundering have been dropped.

However, the investigating judge has charged him with participating in a conspiracy against state security and committing a crime against the president of the republic.

Hammami explained that the defense team will appeal this decision soon before the court of appeals.

He also noted that the investigating judge issued an order to seal the investigation into the “Instalingo” case, which includes about 32 people suspected of involvement.

Hammami expressed his belief that the leaks and updates issued by the investigating judge were not based on reality and deviated from the facts related to the case.

He pointed out that test reports published in Tunisia proved that Al-Aroui did not engage in money laundering and that his properties came from his personal sources and his wife’s.
