On Thursday, October 26, 2023, it is expected that a ship coming from France will arrive at the Port of La Goulette carrying aid from the Tunisian community in France for the benefit of the Palestinian people, with approximately 30 tons of supplies. These aid shipments include six large trucks, which will be loaded onto planes and sent to Al-Arish Airport in the Arab Republic of Egypt within 10 days. This was confirmed by Abderrahmane Ould Haj, President of the International Cooperation and Development Association.

Ould Haj explained in a statement to the Tunis Africa News Agency that this humanitarian initiative was coordinated between the coordination committees of the Tunisian community associations in southern France, in collaboration with the International Cooperation and Development Association and under the supervision of the Tunisian Red Crescent. He also mentioned that the trucks would head to the Chedli Zouiten Stadium today to load the aid onto the planes.

These aid shipments include various medical equipment and supplies, medicines, infant formula, wheelchairs, power generators, blankets, tents, new clothes, and baby diapers, in addition to other assistance.

The President of the International Cooperation and Development Association expressed his hope for facilitating customs procedures to ensure the timely arrival of the aid to those in need.

It is worth noting that the Zionist entity continues, for the twentieth consecutive day, to carry out airstrikes and aerial bombardments on the Gaza Strip in Palestine, targeting hospitals and residential homes of civilians. This has led to the martyrdom of 6,546 people, including 2,704 children, 1,584 women, and 364 elderly individuals, and the injury of 17,439 others with varying degrees of wounds since October 7, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza. This is happening amidst a tragic humanitarian situation.
